This subject belongs to the intermediate cycle of the Logistics Administration Program. The subject assumes that the transport activity represents an important cost of the total logistics costs involved in the management of the supply chain. For this reason, good management of transport and distribution networks is important. It is said that the success of companies is closely related to the planning, design and proper use of transport and distribution systems. Transport is the logistics activity responsible for moving industrial and consumer goods between suppliers, manufacturers and final consumers, which are geographically dispersed. This activity adds value to the goods when they are delivered on time, without damage and in the quantities required. This subject continues with the development of the analytical, critical and ethical competences of the students of the Administration in Logistics program
