The course Geopolitics in Latam seeks to provide an interdisciplinary approach to geography, economics, and politics, and also to introduce students to the relationship between these disciples and related areas such as business, International Relations, strategic planning, and diplomacy amongst others. The current global context, which is deeply interdependent and systemic, is being specifically marked by geo-political and geo-economic processes that are affecting, in a decisive manner, current international dynamics. Geography, economics, and politics are basic categories of the social sciences; when used as a theoretical tool, their intersubjective relationship allow for multiple analyses of the structures and dynamics of the economic and political systems that govern the Latin America and the relationship between latino MAerican countries and with others. This course will also describe, explain and analyze the meaningful economic, political, productive, technological and institutional transformations that affect this region¿s reality.
